I’m a freelance UX designer based in Lagos Nigeria. I have a passion for creating user experiences that are seamless and impactful.
I'm a self-taught Product Designer passionate about designing digital experiences that leave a positive impact on people, environment and the society. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. As an undergraduate I took up Photography out of pure interest, an enterprise which has led me into Design, because of my Love for Shapes, Color and Photoshop which helped me develop my skills in UX and visual design.I'm a self-taught User experience Designer passionate about designing digital experiences that leave a positive impression. I have exposed myself to various challenges involving user experience and visual design. To me, design is a problem solving activity. As a designer, I understand that the perfect design not only involves visual aesthetics, but even more importantly, an interface that functions well. This requires a deep understanding of human behavior and psychology - the outcome of which greatly impacts the overall experience of the product, regardless of the platform. I personally enjoy working on projects that require both strategy as well as visual design. I love working on problems from the ideation stage and seeing them through completion through pixel-perfect designs. I dream to become a domain expert in my field with being able to move among the process from user research to designing to shipping and analyzing results.
The following are my design process, which is influenced by design thinking, relies on observing, with empathy, how people interact with their environments, and employs an iterative, hands-on approach to creating innovative solutions. Also note that the design process is non-linear and iterative process
I believe that user empathy is the most important step of the design process. In order to build user empathy, i would usually conduct surveys, interviews, and observation sessions.
Based on what i learned in the empathize phase, the next step is usually to analyze and identify pain points from the users’ perspective.
With a clear problem and pain points in mind, the next aim usually is to come up with as many ideas and potential solutions as possible, using ideation techniques such as bodystorming, reverse thinking, and worst possible idea.
Having narrowed my ideas down to a select few, I would now turn them into prototypes. This prototype usually ranges from basic paper models to interactive, digital prototypes.
The testing phase enables me to see where in prototype works well and where it needs improving. I usually run user testing sessions where i observe my target users as they interact with the prototype. You may also gather verbal feedback.
